You know it! We are calling it "Old World" themed. It's a bit of a juxtaposition of cultures including Celtic Highlands and Norse Vikings. Think swords, candles, and an abundance of earthy elements!

We will love on you regardless of how you're dressed, but you're welcome to join in on the fun of the theme! Men in the wedding party will be wearing kilts and traditional Scottish formal vests. Bridesmaids will be donning dramatic, ethereal gowns. Men, we'd love to see you clad in tartan! Tartan is a woolen cloth that is woven into special patterns of plaid. This is your chance to show off all the work you put in on leg day! Ladies, we'd love to see you in long dresses. This is your opportunity to really embrace being the main character in your favorite fantasy novel! Of course, please refrain from wearing solid variations of white. Themed attire is encouraged, but certainly not a requirement!

While we love your little ones, we don't want them to distract you from the romance of the day! So, unless your child's name is on your invitation, please book a sitter, and enjoy your time away.

The ceremony begins at 2:30 sharp! Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early. There will be a photographer poised to capture your pre-wedding portrait before those happy tears start to flow! If you arrive after the procession down the aisle has begun, kindly wait to seat yourself after the officiant has begun the ceremony.

Yes! There is on-site parking directly east of the Barn at the venue. There is a bridge for guests to cross a small creek and walk up to the ceremony site. If you require a shorter walk, you're welcome to pull up to the Barn and a valet will park your car for you upon request.

Yes! The ceremony will be outside (weather permitting) on the grounds of The Barn on Nye Manor property. A cocktail hour will follow the ceremony in the gardens. Dinner will be served in the Barn with tables and the dance floor spilling out into the fresh air. Please keep in mind that September weather can be unpredictable, so please bring along a sweater or jacket in case the evening hours get chilly.

We do not. We would encourage you to look for a hotel or Airbnb in the Fort Wayne area. The wedding venue is practically right on the Ohio/Indiana State Line.

Absolutely! Drinks are on us! We will be serving wine, beer, and three specialty cocktails. If you would like to drink something specific, you're welcome to bring it! All alcohol brought on-site MUST be given to the bartenders to be served to you. This is a condition of our event insurance so please be courteous of this rule. We are paying them to take care of you, so let them! Tips for the bar staff are appreciated!
